MEG'S RIDE ACROSS AMERICA

JUNE 6 - JULY 27, 2004

Okay, admit it. You all think I'm absolutely NUTS for choosing to spend my entire summer vacation sitting on a hard bicycle seat. (As I write this, I'm kinda thinking the same thing!) Since I started cycling in 1989, riding across the USA is something I've dreamed about doing. You see, there's no better way to see the country than from a bicycle. It's addictive! I've ridden across Georgia (BRAG) three times, across Wisconsin (GRABBAWR), done two MS150s, ridden from Myrtle Beach, SC to Rehobeth Beach, DE, and done the Washington DC AIDS Ride. This summer, I'm tackling the granddaddy of them all....a 52 day, 3800 mile spin from California to New Hampshire. I'm nervous, excited, petrified, and psyched (psycho?) all at the same time. I decided to create this website (thanks to NMBHS student Roy Hill!) so that those of you who wanted to could track me as I make my way from west to east, and thus ride vicariously with me!

Email me at MADMEGSTER@aol.com and let me know what's new at home. I hate being out of the loop!
